Pieces often had both the Lillie Rubin shop label and the designer label. This dress has only its Lillie Rubin label but I have always wondered if it was perhaps a Halston. I have never been able to verify that. If it is not I think it was definitely inspired by the tie dye work that Halston was doing during this time period. I
